Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, many providing deeper insights into its characters. This guide details how to start and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
How to Start "Bad Blood" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After gaining access to the open world in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, progress through the quest involving finding Mutt. This leads you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Henry will suggest checking with Bozhena. Speak to her about Mutt; she'll reveal her daughter Pavlena is missing. Agree to help, and "Bad Blood" will be added to your quest log.
Gather Information
First, go to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush, then talk to Innkeeper Betty at the tavern. You'll gather information about Bozhena and Pavlena, learning about their expulsion from the village and the reasons for their unpopularity.
Next, talk to Woodcutter Dushko near the objective marker. He'll direct you to Roman's house. Note: You'll need lockpicks; save beforehand. Search Roman's house, examine Pavlena's basket, and speak with Dushko again for further clues. He'll lead you to a clearing, a favorite spot for the couple.
Search the Scene
From Roman's house, follow the objective marker downhill towards the stream. Turn left at the large boulders to find the spot. Follow the blood trail to discover Roman's body. Continue upwards and speak with Hogheard Hugo, then return to the Troskowitz farm and talk to Hired Hand Straw.
A successful dialogue check with Straw reveals information about Jakesh and the events surrounding Roman and Pavlena. You can then speak with Thrush to decide how to handle Straw. Afterwards, head to the rocks south of Zhelejov to continue the investigation.
Confront Ota

In the objective area, find a path through the large boulder. Climb the ladder to find Ota and Pavlena. High Charisma is needed for successful dialogue checks. To convince Ota to release Pavlena, use these options: "What's your name?", "Let her go and I'll let you go.", "I'll put in a good word for you with His Lordship." Pavlena will then kill Ota. Speak with Pavlena and return to Bozhena together. Bozhena will then request you kill Jakesh.
Kill Jakesh or Make Peace

The final step involves choosing between killing Jakesh or seeking peace. Find Jakesh at his child's grave. You can kill him or attempt negotiation. Killing Bozhena is also an option. The quest concludes regardless of your choice. In my playthrough, killing Jakesh and reporting back to Bozhena yielded a reward.
Should You Kill Jakesh?
Killing Jakesh lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but significantly improves it with Bozhena and Pavlena. You unlock new dialogue with Pavlena and receive a necklace, a gift from Roman.
Sparing Jakesh and achieving peace earns you 100 groschen. You can keep it or share it with Bozhena. Bozhena and Pavlena are allowed back into the settlement.
This concludes the "Bad Blood" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Check The Escapist for more game tips, including finding the Hermit's sword and Ventza's treasure.
