Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) debuts Fox Hunt, its innovative multiplayer mode replacing the classic Metal Gear Online. During Konami's June 12 PRESS START livestream, Fox Hunt Director Yu Sahara revealed the team's vision for this evolution in tactical multiplayer gaming.

Sahara describes Fox Hunt as a "groundbreaking online multiplayer experience" set within MGS Delta's universe while delivering distinct gameplay mechanics. This replaces the PlayStation 2-era Metal Gear Online from MGS3: Subsistence.

"While we deeply appreciate Metal Gear Online's dedicated fanbase," Sahara explained, "today's multiplayer landscape demands fresh approaches." The development team focused on elevating camouflage mechanics and hide-and-seek dynamics to create this new competitive experience.

"We aimed beyond traditional shooter gameplay," Sahara continued. "By amplifying the tension between concealment and pursuit, we've crafted something authentically Metal Gear for the online multiplayer scene."

Previous Metal Gear Online iterations accompanying MGS titles offered conventional competitive modes. Sahara confirmed additional Fox Hunt details will follow soon, promising deeper insights into this innovative multiplayer approach.

Xbox Exclusive: Snake Battles Bomberman

Konami previously announced PlayStation 5 and Steam exclusives would feature "Snake vs. Monkey" mode. Simultaneously, they teased Xbox players would receive a similar-but-distinct mode featuring Bomberman.

The latest Xbox gameplay trailer officially unveiled "Snake vs. Bomberman" mode, described as: "Command Snake in explosive confrontations against Bomberman across various specially designed stages."
