The world of Monster Hunter Wilds is vast and surprisingly interconnected. One dedicated player decided to illustrate this by embarking on an epic trek from a starting area all the way to the lofty peaks found in later regions.
Over on the Monster Hunter subreddit, user -BrotherPig- shared a video documenting their cross-continental journey through the zones of Monster Hunter Wilds. Beginning in the Windward Plains, they sprint across sandy dunes, eventually reaching mid-game zones and, finally, some of the campaign's concluding areas and locales. Be warned of spoilers if you haven't finished the main story yet.
Did you know there's only 1 loading screen between the Plains and Suja? 9min ride through all zones.

The trip is remarkably long, powerfully demonstrating how seamlessly all the zones are linked. Only a single loading screen occurs, roughly halfway through, as the traveler moves from the Oilwell Basin into the Iceshard Cliffs. For the rest of the journey, it's one continuous sprint for what must be an utterly exhausted Seikret.
Of course, Monster Hunter Wilds isn't completely devoid of loading screens. Beyond the one witnessed in the journey above, there are also screens when entering the training grounds, fast traveling, or departing on a friend's quest. Yet, seeing this connectivity in practice is truly fascinating and gave me a newfound appreciation for all the little corridors and passages that weave the Forbidden Lands together.

According to a series producer, the secret ingredient for Monster Hunter Wilds lies in its story, immersive world, and cross-play functionality. Personally, I've loved observing all the discoveries players are making about how Wilds adapts the series' classic systems to an open world. Regardless of your reasons for playing, it seems there's plenty to keep hunters busy until the first major Title Update arrives in April.

IGN's Monster Hunter Wilds review scored the game an 8/10. Our verdict stated: "Monster Hunter Wilds continues to intelligently polish the series' rough edges, resulting in supremely fun combat, though it sometimes lacks a significant challenge."
