Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and game modes, including a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free items, such as a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The initial challenge in the "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" series requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original state. However, not all destructible objects will work.
To identify eligible objects, utilize Chrono Vision (accessed via the "B" key on PC and the right D-pad button on consoles). Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.
How to Trigger Recursive Destruction in Midtown
This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.
While engaging in combat, prioritize destroying these buildings. You may not always witness their reappearance immediately due to the fast-paced gameplay, but multiple hits should complete the objective. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges, such as trying out Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
