Hanoi 12 Days and Nights is a game developed by Pirex Games. This title focuses on the revolutionary struggle. The game aims to recreate a segment of the Dien Bien Phu in the Air—a brutal conflict where the people of Hanoi resisted the U.S. imperialists' massive B-52 bombing campaign. By late December 1972, the U.S. government was compelled to sign the Paris Agreement to restore peace in North Vietnam.

In U.S. military history, this was known as Operation Linebacker II, often referred to as the Dien Bien Phu in the Air campaign. It was America's final major offensive against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War, conducted from December 18 to December 30, 1972. The operation followed the breakdown of the Paris peace talks due to unresolved disagreements over the terms of the agreement between the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the United States.
