Pepper Grinder brings a big drill and big fun to mobile courtesy of Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll's next release is Pepper Grinder, arriving soon on mobile devices. Pepper Grinder features platforming and tunnelling gameplay as the pirate protagonist, Pepper. Its fast-paced action was originally released by Devolver Digital.

It appears we are covering a significant amount of Crunchyroll content today, especially since they have Beyblade X Xone scheduled alongside the upcoming platformer Pepper Grinder! However, what value does it offer outside of existing anime adaptations? Quite a lot, actually.

Named after its protagonist and her signature giant drill—a common trope in anime-inspired designs—Pepper Grinder casts you as a seafaring pirate adventurer. After Narlings steal her treasure and leave her shipwrecked, Pepper must recover her loot.

The unique mechanic of this standard 2D platformer is your drill. You can use it to tunnel through specific materials to bypass obstacles or defeat enemies. New puzzles will challenge you to combine platforming skills with drilling abilities to solve increasingly complex problems.

Crunchyroll is bringing Pepper Grinder to mobile through its Game Vault, though it was originally published by Devolver Digital. You can experience their hallmark fast-paced action, which the cute visuals might otherwise hide. Personally, I find it quite engaging.

Pepper Grinder is set for release on February 26th and will be available exclusively via Game Vault, with pre-registration now open. As Crunchyroll seems committed to producing more gaming originals, it is encouraging to see them maintaining their strategy of bringing exciting multiplatform titles to mobile devices.
