Among Us 3D Launch Date Revealed, Differs From VR

Launching May 6

Schell Games and Innersloth have officially confirmed the May 6, 2025 release date for Among Us 3D. The announcement was made via the game's Twitter account on April 16.

Originally developed as Among Us VR, the game underwent rebranding to Among Us 3D to accommodate cross-platform multiplayer capabilities. Developers recently introduced Stardust, a permanent in-game currency that offers players greater flexibility in customizing their experience.

Among Us 3D introduces several new features including Tag Mode with the Infected role, proximity-based voice chat, seasonal events, refreshed mini-games, and an expanded customization system.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is fundamentally different from the 2022 VR version. As stated in Schell Games' FAQ, the separation of these versions enables ongoing support for VR players while delivering an optimized experience for PC audiences.

The development team emphasized: "Distinct versions allow us to maintain quality updates for Among Us VR while crafting a premium experience tailored specifically for PC players."

Wishlist Reward Program

Schell Games has launched a special wishlist campaign called Powered By Wishlists Challenge on Steam. Players can unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards by helping reach community milestones:
