Fans of the iconic 1995 film *Clueless* are in for a treat as Alicia Silverstone is set to don Cher Horowitz's memorable yellow and plaid ensemble once again. The beloved actress will reprise her role in a new sequel series for Peacock, promising to bring back the charm and wit that made the original movie a classic.

According to Variety, the series is currently in the works with Peacock, though plot specifics remain under wraps. What we do know is that Silverstone's involvement ensures a direct continuation of the story from the film. This project marks a distinct departure from a previously planned Clueless spin-off that Peacock had considered in 2020.

The creative team behind this exciting revival includes Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, renowned for their work on the original *Gossip Girl* series and its reboot, who will be writing and executive producing alongside Jordan Weiss. The trio will collaborate with Amy Heckerling, the original writer-director of *Clueless*, and Robert Lawrence, the film’s original producer. CBS Studios and Universal Television are also on board to produce the series.

This isn't the first time *Clueless* has made the leap to television. Following the film's success, a TV adaptation aired on ABC and UPN from 1996 to 1999, with Rachel Blanchard stepping into the role of Cher instead of Silverstone.

Silverstone's recent return to her iconic role in a 2023 Super Bowl commercial for Rakuten indicates her enthusiasm to revisit Cher's world. It's clear she's eager to dive back into Cher's wardrobe, and fans are undoubtedly thrilled to see her back in action.
