Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about the upcoming game, *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, via a captivating trailer. Initial announcements highlighted the exploration of two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting, setting the stage for a dramatic transition to the main focus in Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer elaborated that Lazio starts off as a tranquil area, but an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These territories are none other than Britain, known in the game as Albion, characterized by its harsh climate, defiant tribes, and its significant distance from Rome, which poses unique challenges in governance.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without solely relying on brute force. Instead, they are encouraged to build peace by respecting and integrating with local customs. One of the game's standout features is the ability to customize ships, allowing for strategic decisions such as opting for increased speed with oarsmen or bolstering firepower with onboard archery turrets.
*Anno 117: Pax Romana* is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising a rich and engaging experience for players worldwide.
