April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These games were announced in a recent PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers of the PlayStation Plus Essential tier starting April 1, at no additional cost. Players can enjoy these titles until the next set of games is introduced on May 5.

The April 2025 selection caters to a variety of gaming preferences. Leading the pack is RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon. This first-person shooter allows players to step into the shoes of Alex Murphy, the iconic RoboCop, as he battles to save a crime-ridden Detroit. A significant update released in January of the previous year introduced a New Game Plus mode, enhancing replay value. Our review at launch praised its authenticity and gave it a 7/10.

For those craving intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers a thrilling experience. This asymmetrical multiplayer game pits players against the infamous Slaughter Family, including Leatherface, in a survival-versus-hunt scenario. It's a gripping, albeit technically challenging, experience that we rated 6/10 at launch.

To balance the adrenaline rush, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed pace. Released in 2018, this turn-based RPG expands the Digimon universe with over 320 digital monsters to collect and a fresh perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth storyline.
