Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing exciting quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. Amidst this thrilling update, Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
In a recent post on their X/Twitter account, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests." This statement underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game.
Not only are cheaters at risk, but Capcom also cautioned that players engaging in multiplayer hunts with cheaters may face consequences. This could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. Capcom advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such." They further encouraged players to report any instances of fraudulent activity they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants, with some rewards available to all participants and others awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This system makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating even more crucial, as it directly impacts the fairness and enjoyment of the reward system.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head straight to the Grand Hub once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
