Devolver Digital boasts an impressive roster of Android games, including GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones, to name a few. Adding to this stellar lineup, the highly anticipated 'reverse-horror' game, Carrion, is set to make its mobile debut. Originally released on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, this thrilling title from Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital is slated for a mobile launch on October 31st.
What’s the Concept of Carrion Mobile?
In Carrion, you embody a nightmarish creature, becoming the horror itself. As this mysterious red blob, you'll slither, claw, and chomp your way through obstacles and adversaries. Dubbed a 'reverse horror game,' Carrion flips the script by making you the terror rather than the victim. As The Monster, you start confined within a highly secure research facility run by Relith Science.
Despite the scientists' efforts to control you through DNA manipulation, you break free, evolve, and seek vengeance. Your mission is to escape by any means necessary, consuming scientists, security guards, and anyone else who stands in your way. Navigate through vents, break down doors, and wield your tentacles to hunt down your prey. Just like its PC counterpart, Carrion on mobile unleashes a wave of panic and destruction as you progress.
As you advance, you'll unlock upgrades to smash through barricades and grow in size, enhancing your terrifying presence. Curious about the game? Take a look at the trailer below:
Will You Pre-Register for the Game?
If you enjoy Metroidvania-style games, Carrion's mix of exploration and progression will surely captivate you. The game's pixel art style adds a unique charm to the gore, making it visually engaging. On mobile, you can try Carrion for free, and if you're hooked, unlock the full game along with its DLC through a single in-app purchase. You can pre-register now on the Google Play Store or wait until its launch on October 31st to grab it directly.
