The Philippe Labaune Gallery's "Will Eisner Exhibit" encompasses Eisner's extensive career, spanning from 1941 to 2002. The exhibition features numerous pages from comic strips like The Spirit and New York: The Big City, along with a nearly complete presentation of his groundbreaking graphic novel, A Contract with God: The Super.

"Will Eisner's The Spirit, initially published in 1940, revolutionized comics with its innovative style and storytelling," Labaune stated to IGN. "His mastery of cinematic techniques—dynamic panel layouts, diverse perspectives, and seamless transitions—mimicked the fluidity of film. Eisner also skillfully utilized visual symbolism, employing backgrounds and environmental details to reflect character emotions and scene tone, enriching the artwork's meaning. His use of splash pages and fluid page designs broke from rigid structures, creating a more immersive reading experience. Eisner's stylistic advancements not only redefined comic art but also showcased the medium's capacity for sophisticated and engaging narratives."
