Company of Heroes Adds Online, Cross-Platform Multiplayer Mode

Feral Interactive’s Company of Heroes has rolled out a new update—introducing cross-platform online multiplayer. Now you can jump into real-time battles on Android, Switch, or iOS. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know.

You can now team up with up to three other players. This new cross-play functionality is powered by Feral’s Calico matchmaking system, so whether your friends are on mobile or Switch, you’ll all be able to clash on the battlefield.

The update brings this feature to Nintendo Switch. While mobile players could already fight each other online, Switch users were left out—until now. The Company of Heroes Collection is available for purchase on the Switch eShop.

Ever Played Company of Heroes?

Originally developed by Relic Entertainment, Company of Heroes is a standout title in the real-time strategy genre, famed for its gripping World War II scenarios and deep squad-based tactics.

The game places you in the European Theater of Operations, beginning with the D-Day landings in Normandy and escalating through the pivotal Falaise Pocket. Choose your side: the US Army and British 2nd Army as the Allies, or the German Wehrmacht and Panzer Elite as the Axis.

On Android, the base game is available on the Google Play Store, with two major expansions—Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor—accessible via in-app purchases. These expansions are required for online multiplayer, unlocking shared maps and units for competitive play.

If you haven’t experienced this game yet, now’s the perfect time to dive in. The latest Switch update makes Company of Heroes even more accessible and enjoyable for players everywhere. Meanwhile, don’t miss our upcoming update on Goddess of Victory: Nikke’s Summer Season.
