Curious about the new Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a late-game feature that lets you craft unique pieces with customizable stats and elements, tailored to your playstyle. Let's dive into everything you need to know about unlocking and crafting these powerful tools.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Weapons

To unlock the Artian weapon crafting feature, you first need to complete the main story and reach High Rank. After that, you must defeat your first Tempered monster. While we won't spoil which monster it is, you'll recognize it by the NPCs' comments about its toughness and scars.

After defeating this challenging beast, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that explains the crafting process. Each weapon type requires three components, and you need at least one of each to craft a weapon. However, there's more to it than just gathering parts.

Each component has a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, components must share the same rarity value. The elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the majority element among your components. For instance, using two water and one lightning component will result in a water weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, but using three different elements will yield no elemental infusion at all.

The Artian bonus can boost either your attack or affinity. Attack increases the overall damage your weapon can deal, while affinity enhances your critical hit chance. Choose the bonus that best fits your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Materials

Acquiring Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. Once you've defeated your first Tempered monster, one or two will appear in each area, marked by a blue outline on the map. You'll receive notifications when they're nearby.

Defeating or capturing these monsters will reward you with Artian parts, which you can find among your main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also rise, allowing for natural progression. While there's no direct link between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops, focus on the monsters you enjoy fighting or those you need parts from for other weapons or armor pieces.
