Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game series.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game will feature a special Asian "global version" with English text support. Players can participate in mini-games, customize character appearances, and soak up the tropical island atmosphere. Developers promise numerous avenues for building relationships with the heroines and a deeply immersive romantic storyline.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a unique gameplay experience while retaining the franchise's signature style.
However, even this venture has its limitations, as highlighted by ongoing efforts to combat fan-made content. Annually, the publisher removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images depicting the game's characters.
The Dead or Alive series is known for its fighting mechanics and its attractive female characters, often depicted in swimwear. This has led to a significant amount of fan-created "adult" content, a trend the developers actively counter despite appreciating fan art in general.
