In related news, director Hideo Kojima recently presented flowers to actress Shioli Kutsuna to mark the completion of her work on Death Stranding 2.

Kojima expressed his gratitude to Kutsuna for her dedication. She performed motion capture in Los Angeles, underwent 3D scanning, and recorded dialogue in both Japanese and English across multiple locations, all while navigating the complexities of the pandemic.

Her fantastic work is much appreciated. Actress Shioli Kutsuna began her involvement with Death Stranding 2 in the fall of 2022.

During Tokyo Game Show 2024, Hideo Kojima unveiled new materials for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The presentation included several two-minute cinematic sequences, offering a clearer look at the allies accompanying the protagonist.

For instance, George Miller's character is Tarman, captain of the mobile base Magellan which navigates tar lakes. Director Fatih Akin portrays Dollman, a living doll and former medium who has lost his human form. Léa Seydoux reprises her role as Fragile.

Elle Fanning plays the mysterious character known as Tomorrow. According to the narrative, she was found in a supernatural location resembling the realm of the dead. Interestingly, the original tagline for the first Death Stranding was "Tomorrow is in your hands."

In one showcased scene, the characters engage in conversation with a pregnant woman named Rainy (played by Shioli Kutsuna) and sing the classic song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
