First announced in 2018, the series, produced by Adi Shankar (Castlevania) and animated by Studio Mir (Legend of Korra, X-Men '97), will consist of eight episodes in its inaugural season.
Plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, but the protagonist appears to be Dante, likely based on his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the video game franchise.
The latest entry in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full Devil May Cry 5 review here.
