In the heat of battle in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, taking damage is inevitable, especially for newcomers or those tackling higher difficulty settings. But don't worry, healing is simple and straightforward. You'll need to use a special item to replenish your health, and there's even an auto-heal option for those who prefer a more hands-off approach.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Like in previous Dynasty Warriors games, your go-to healing item is the trusty meat bun! These can be found by smashing pots near enemy bases. You might also get lucky and have enemy officers drop them after defeat, but this only happens on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels. Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties won't yield meat buns from officers.

To use a meat bun, simply press Up on the D-Pad, provided you have one in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you collect a meat bun, it'll be automatically consumed—unless you're already at full health, in which case it'll stay on the ground. Initially, you can only carry three meat buns, but the "Meat Bun Glutton" skill increases your carrying capacity if you find yourself constantly needing more.

Prefer not to micromanage your healing? Head to the Configuration menu and enable the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option. This automatically consumes meat buns when your health drops below a certain threshold. Don't worry, you can still manually use meat buns even with auto-use enabled. It's a great safety net!
