Fidough Fetch Event in Pokémon Go Now Live: Catch the Puppy Pokémon through Challenges

As we dive into the new year, Pokémon GO fans have plenty to look forward to. While we await the arrival of the Fashion Week event, Niantic has kicked things off with the Fidough Fetch event—bringing with it fresh adventures, exciting challenges, and the debut of Fidough and its evolution, Dachsbun.

This limited-time event will remain active until January 7th, giving trainers a chance to catch the adorable Puppy Pokémon, Fidough, in the wild. Catching multiple Fidoughs will earn you Candy, and once you've collected 50, you can evolve it into the stylish Dachsbun.

But that’s not all. The event also introduces a series of Global Challenges designed to keep you engaged and on the move. These challenges encourage players to land Nice Curveball Throws, unlocking progressively better rewards as you advance. The more you complete, the greater your rewards—starting from double XP for catching Pokémon and eventually scaling up to four times the XP and Stardust.

Don’t forget to take advantage of redeemable Pokémon GO codes during the event for even more in-game bonuses!

In addition to Fidough, several fan-favorite Pokémon are appearing more frequently in the wild. Look out for Growlithe, Voltorb, Snubbull, Electrike, Lillipup, and Poochyena, with an increased chance of encountering their Shiny variants. Lucky trainers may even spot Hisuian Growlithe or Greavard during their explorations.

If you prefer a less physically demanding way to play, event-themed Field Research tasks offer a great alternative. Completing these tasks rewards you with useful items like Stardust and Poké Balls, along with opportunities to encounter exclusive event Pokémon.
