Elden Ring Players Hit Relic Storage Limit

Relics are powerful items that can give your Nightfarer a significant advantage during each Elden Ring Nightreign run. It turns out, however, there's also a limit to how many of them you can store in your hideout.

Earlier today, a user on the r/Nightreign subreddit shared an in-game screenshot from their Elden Ring Nightreign session, showing a specific warning message when they attempted to launch an expedition. The message stated, "Cannot launch expedition: Too many relics in possession," and advised, "Please use the relic rite menu to sell off duplicates."

u/Scufozzover1 didn't provide an exact count of their relics, only estimating "upwards of 1000 maybe." Many suspect this might be linked to a general 999 item cap, but without grinding to that extreme number, the actual limit remains uncertain.

There are several good reasons to regularly clear out your relic inventory, primarily for resources. Although, if you're continuously playing Elden Ring Nightreign run after run, it's easy to lose track of how many relics you've collected over time.

Discussion in the thread revisited a familiar critique of Elden Ring Nightreign: the necessity of relic management. As your collection grows larger, organizing all your relics and identifying useful ones becomes more challenging—commenters suggested additional filters could help sort through the heap more efficiently.

Even I find it somewhat cumbersome now, with a growing stockpile of basic relics. So I can only imagine what it must be like for this Redditor, who seems to have amassed hundreds, if not thousands, of relics. While this may not affect the average player immediately, it's something to be mindful of as you continue playing Nightreign for weeks or months. At the very least, it's a helpful reminder to periodically sell or dispose of relics you no longer need.
