Forspoken, despite being a free PS Plus offering nearly a year post-launch, continues to spark heated discussions among players.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, including Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers, generated surprisingly positive initial responses. However, this enthusiasm hasn't translated into universal acclaim.

Many free-to-play trialists abandoned Forspoken after a short time, criticizing the dialogue and storyline. While some appreciated the combat, parkour, and gameplay mechanics, the overall sentiment suggests that the narrative and dialogue significantly detract from the experience for many. The game's inconsistency appears to be a major factor preventing a PS Plus resurgence.

Forspoken follows Frey, a New Yorker transported to the breathtaking yet perilous land of Athia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, she must navigate this expansive world, combat formidable creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tants, all in a desperate attempt to return home.
