GOG Resurrects Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 on PC

GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror titles, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, bringing them to PC gamers DRM-free. These PlayStation gems, now available on GOG's Preservation Program, retain their original content intact.

Capcom originally released Dino Crisis in 1999, followed by Dino Crisis 2 a year later. Dino Crisis 3, an Xbox exclusive, arrived in 2003, leaving fans yearning for a new installment. Despite persistent fan demand for a new entry or an HD remake, Capcom appears uninterested, with the 2022 release of Exoprimal often cited as the final blow to hopes for a Dino Crisis revival. Further fueling speculation, creator Shinji Mikami stated in August 2023 that Monster Hunter's popularity overshadows the possibility of a Dino Crisis reboot or remake.

PlayGOG's release is a boon for players, as these PC ports were previously difficult to acquire and run on modern systems. GOG highlights the preservation effort, stating, "Thanks to Capcom and GOG, Regina's iconic line, 'You're extinct!' no longer applies to the game itself."
