Guide: Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest is accessible early in the game, and you must first complete "The Jaunt" to unlock it. This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, so let’s guide you through the steps to complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To begin the "Canker" quest, you need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. You can easily pick up this quest during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes by speaking to Gules while he's enjoying a drink. Alternatively, if you visit Semine before the wedding, you can find Gules on patrol and initiate the quest then. Just ask him about his former band of bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is one of these former bandits, and your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, located north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious, as the path to this location is often patrolled by bandits who may attempt to ambush you. You can choose to evade them using stealth, engage in combat, or simply flee. These random bandits are usually not too challenging, but it's frustrating to lose health before the main fight.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountains, and it's easy to overlook because you need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Ensure you're prepared for combat before entering, as you'll face several bandits alongside Canker.

During the battle, some bandits might flee depending on the order in which you take them down. However, it's important to eliminate most of them, so don't assume you can avoid fighting everyone. Fortunately, Canker will not escape, allowing you to complete your objective by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot Canker's body to obtain the Light Mace as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items that catch your eye. Then, head back to Gules to complete the quest.

Once you've finished "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can pick up the next quest involving Gules' old bandit friends. After the day has passed, speak with Gules to start "Handsome Charlie."
