Hands-On with Low-Budget Repairs: Beta Testing Starts Soon

Step into the wonderfully chaotic world of Low-Budget Repairs, a 1990s-inspired repair simulator that's about to launch its Steam beta. The debut trailer (and only trailer so far!) generated considerable buzz, and now, lucky participants can experience the game firsthand.

Gray2RGB announced a two-week beta test starting March 3rd on Steam. While spots are limited, interested players can apply for a chance to join. Testers will be tasked with reporting bugs and completing a feedback questionnaire at the end of the testing period.

Prepare for a wild ride as you become the owner of a struggling repair business in 1990s Poland. Forget pristine renovations; this is ultra-budget repair at its finest. Think duct tape patching leaks, paint-smeared walls, brick-sealed windows, and cat doors fashioned from sawed-off doors. The only constant? The unwavering supply of beer to keep spirits (and you) afloat.

Your responsibilities are delightfully unconventional:

  • Tackle a variety of room repairs and emergencies, from rescuing flooded bathrooms to overhauling entire apartments.
  • Embrace the art of the "cheap fix"—thinning paint, tile-laying without a level, and the occasional furniture-tossing-out-the-window maneuver.
  • Scour hardware stores for bargain-bin tools, knowing that your hammers might shatter and drills could explode at any moment.
  • Ignore customer preferences completely—payment is guaranteed, regardless of the questionable quality of your work!
