Indus, the Indian-made battle royale game, adds a new 4v4 deathmatch mode and surpasses 11 million pre-registrations. Despite these milestones, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.
The recently added 4v4 deathmatch mode joins the existing battle royale features, including a unique Grudge system. Closed beta players will also benefit from improved audio effects and music.
Initially announced in 2022, Indus has undergone several beta phases, steadily gaining popularity and pre-registrations. This growth is significant in India's expanding mobile gaming market. The recent surge to 11 million pre-registrations, however, represents a slower pace of growth compared to previous milestones.

Targeting the Indian Market
While the 11 million pre-registrations are impressive, the growth rate has moderated since March when the game reached 10 million. The anticipated late 2023 release has passed, leaving players anticipating a 2024 launch, hopefully in the form of a full release or at least a public beta.
