InZOI Ditches Explicit Sex Scenes

The lead developers of the upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, recently addressed fan queries about the inclusion of sexual intercourse in the game. The assistant director's response was notably vague and indirect, avoiding explicit language. Essentially, it was implied that when a male and female ZOI go to bed together, they are engaging in an activity intended to produce offspring. However, the visual representation of this activity is left to the player's imagination, leaving ambiguity about the level of explicitness.

Perhaps that’s exactly what’s happening, but not at the level everyone expected.

This leaves players wondering whether the depiction of sex in inZOI will follow the censorship seen in The Sims series or if a new method will be introduced.

The developers also explained their decision to have ZOIs shower in towels rather than using pixelated censorship. This choice aligns better with the game's cartoonish graphics, as pixelation can appear overly sexualized in a more realistic style. Additionally, a technical issue was encountered where pixelated censorship did not reflect properly in mirrors, further justifying the use of towels.

For clarity on these matters, one can refer to the game's ratings by relevant organizations. inZOI has been rated ESRB - T (for teens) and is expected to receive a PEGI 12 rating, matching the ratings given to The Sims 4. These ratings provide insight into the game's content and approach to sensitive topics.
