Lego has exciting news for fans of the upcoming live-action A Minecraft Movie, set to star Jack Black as Steve and Jason Momoa as The Garbage Man. Ahead of the film's release, Lego is launching a new range of themed sets that offer a sneak peek into the mobs and scenes fans can expect to see on the big screen.

Two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack. These sets will complement the existing array of regular Minecraft Lego sets but will feature unique figures such as Steve and The Garbage Man.

The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, priced at $49.99 and containing 491 pieces, hints at an epic gladiator-style battle scene in the movie. It showcases Jason Momoa's character, The Garbage Man, engaging in combat with a zombie mounted on a giant chicken. Although it's not clear if this represents a baby zombie on a regular chicken or a scaled-up version, the ensemble stands about twice as tall as The Garbage Man. This set also includes Steve, his companion Henry, and a giant zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a small viewing stand equipped with weapons.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, priced at $69.99 and comprising 555 pieces, indicates that the film will feature the Nether's iconic Ghast, suggesting a significant battle scene in an Overworld village. This set includes one villager minifigure, two piglins, Steve, characters named Natalie and Dawn, and an iron golem.

Both sets will be available starting March 1, just a month before A Minecraft Movie premieres in theaters on April 4. Fans eager to get their hands on these sets will have plenty of time to explore the movie's themes and characters in advance.

When the film was first unveiled in September, it faced immediate criticism from fans concerned about the blend of live-action characters with the animated Minecraft world. Some fans even took the initiative to recreate the trailer in a fully animated format. In response, the movie's director and producer, speaking to IGN in November, acknowledged the feedback and assured that they were prepared for all reactions.
