Netflix has unveiled an exciting new anime adaptation of the beloved video game series, Devil May Cry, and fans are in for a treat with a fresh trailer that has just been released. But perhaps even more thrilling is the posthumous involvement of the legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy, who will lend his voice to the new series.
Conroy, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman in numerous animated films and TV shows, takes on the role of VP Baines, a new character introduced in the series. His voice can be heard in the opening of the trailer, adding a poignant touch to this highly anticipated project.
Conroy's remarkable posthumous performance was previously acclaimed in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3, released in July 2024. His involvement in Devil May Cry offers fans another chance to appreciate his exceptional talent following his passing in November 2022 at the age of 66. The series also features a talented cast including Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch voicing the protagonist, Dante.According to the official synopsis from Netflix, "Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. Studio Mir, the acclaimed South Korean studio behind The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97, will handle the production of Devil May Cry. Fans can mark their calendars for the series' release on Netflix on April 3, 2025.
