Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to close its doors this year. The official announcement on Netmarble's forums confirmed the game's shutdown date: October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled, ending on June 26th, 2024.

This news is disappointing for fans, considering the game's impressive six-year run and positive player reception. King of Fighters ALLSTAR, based on SNK's iconic King of Fighters franchise, delivered stunning animations and engaging PvP battles, attracting millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

While the developers alluded to a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor, the exact reasons behind the shutdown remain unclear. Recent optimization issues and game crashes likely played a role, though the game's overall success shouldn't be overlooked.
