LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

LEGO has officially unveiled nine exciting new *Star Wars* sets, all set to release on May 1, 2025. This release is part of Disney’s broader celebration of May the 4th—better known as Star Wars Day—where LEGO traditionally unveils a fresh addition to its Ultimate Collector Series. In previous years, fans enjoyed builds like Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.

This year, the spotlight shines on Jango Fett's Firespray-class starship—widely recognized by longtime *Star Wars* enthusiasts as Slave I (view it on the [LEGO Store](https://www.lego.com)). The name change, first introduced in 2021 and confirmed by LEGO, came at Disney’s request, likely due to brand sensitivity around the term “slave.” Four years later, it seems the updated moniker is here to stay.

The last major iteration of this iconic ship was released back in 2019 as part of a 20th-anniversary set featuring 1,007 pieces, modeled after its appearance in *Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back*. The new LEGO version boasts an impressive 2,970 pieces and captures the ship’s design from *Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones*. That’s nearly triple the piece count of its earlier counterpart.
