Madden, FIFA Eyed for Nintendo Switch Switch

EA is reportedly planning to bring many of its popular titles to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This was confirmed by CEO Andrew Wilson during a recent financial call. He specifically highlighted the potential success of EA's sports franchises, Madden and EA Sports FC, as well as The Sims, on the new console. Wilson emphasized the opportunity to reach a new player base with these titles.

While the announcement of Madden and EA Sports FC on the Switch 2 is unsurprising, the question of which versions will be released remains. EA has previously released "legacy" versions of FIFA on the Switch, but has been moving towards feature parity with other platforms in recent years. The Switch 2's increased power suggests that future iterations of EA Sports FC could be closer to their PlayStation, Xbox, and PC counterparts.

The Switch 2's game lineup is starting to take shape. Rumors point to a wide range of third-party titles, including Civilization 7 (with Firaxis Games expressing interest in the rumored Joy-Con mouse mode), Greedfall 2, Test Drive Unlimited, RoboCop: Rogue City (all from Nacon), and the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong. Nintendo itself has confirmed work on a new Mario Kart, with further details expected at a Nintendo Direct in April.
