MiHoYo’s Upcoming Animal Crossing-Like Game Astaweave Haven Now Has a New Name!

MiHoYo, the creators of HoYoVerse, have been busy developing their next title. Initially known as Astaweave Haven, the game has undergone a name change, now officially titled Petit Planet. While details remain scarce, this shift suggests a potential departure from MiHoYo's typical open-world gacha RPGs.

If you're a fan of gacha or RPGs, you may have already encountered mentions of Astaweave Haven. However, official information from MiHoYo has been limited. Indications point towards a life-simulation or management game, drawing comparisons to titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.

The name change to Petit Planet is a welcome one, suggesting a more lighthearted and potentially management-focused experience, distinct from MiHoYo's established gacha formula.

Release Date Uncertainty

The game is currently under development, with no official release date announced. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile platforms in July. The new name, Petit Planet, was registered by HoYoVerse on October 31st and is awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.

Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the launch of Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail), approval of the new name should hopefully precede a quick unveiling of Petit Planet's gameplay and visuals.
