Miku Debuts in Fortnite: Anime Crossover

Hatsune Miku is joining Fortnite on January 14th! This virtual pop star will make her debut with two distinct skins: her classic look, available in the item shop, and a NEKO Miku skin, part of a new Festival Pass. Expect additional Miku-themed cosmetics and music to enhance the experience.

Fortnite's ongoing success hinges on its innovative monetization, featuring a regularly updated battle pass brimming with celebrity and fictional character skins. Past seasons have showcased iconic figures from Marvel, DC, and Star Wars, and this trend continues with Miku's arrival.

A recently released trailer showcases Miku within Fortnite's Festival game mode. This mode, a unique blend of battle royale and rhythm-based gameplay, offers a Festival Pass granting players access to exclusive rewards like the NEKO Miku skin through completing challenges.

This collaboration is a particularly exciting addition, given Miku's real-world and fictional prominence as the face of Crypton Future Media's Vocaloid project. Her anime-inspired design aligns perfectly with Fortnite's current aesthetic, particularly its Chapter 6 Season 1 ("Hunters") theme, heavily influenced by Japanese culture.
