Exciting news for fans of rural farm life simulators: Morikomori Life is now officially available on Android and iOS, though currently exclusive to Japan. Published by Realfun Studio, this game had previously been released in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games before being taken down a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, tranquil life through anime-inspired, Ghibli-style art. These scenes are so vivid and detailed that they resemble stills from a Studio Ghibli animated film, far removed from any AI-generated imagery.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother. The letter prompts Kaon to return to her childhood village, Komori. The journey back leads her to rediscover the joys of a peaceful rural life. The 3D toon shading of Komori beautifully renders the warmth and authenticity of the Japanese countryside, making the experience truly immersive.
