Morpeko Joins Pokémon GO's Halloween Lineup

Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details, promising spooky encounters and exciting features. A second part is also planned!

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 10:00 a.m. local time.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon boasts a unique battle mechanic: it switches between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, depending on its Charged Attack. Aura Wheel (Electric in Full Belly Mode, Dark in Hangry Mode) packs a 100-power punch and boosts Attack in both modes.

During the event, Morpeko will have an increased appearance rate in the GO Battle League's premium track, remaining available from Rank 16 onwards (though more frequent in the premium track).

The Halloween atmosphere will be enhanced with special decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly.

Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
