Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage Ends Service

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its servers. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

Shutdown Date:

The game, launched in 2017, will conclude its run on December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.

Final Events:

Several events are planned before the shutdown:

  • Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
  • All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
  • "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st

Players can still collect Ninja Cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items until the final day. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's trajectory shifted. The introduction of Minato Namikaze marked a turning point, leading to power creep and a less enjoyable experience for many. This was further exacerbated by increasingly prominent pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the decline of multiplayer features. These factors ultimately contributed to the game's dwindling player base and eventual closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those interested in trying it before the shutdown.
