Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. Unlike typical quest items, these don't appear in your quest log. Instead of advancing a specific questline, they offer a substantial gold reward upon sale.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city, at the height of its power, holds the key to your riches. Scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat, you'll discover five Golden Idols. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries

Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment. Locate Oswald, situated in the northern part of the area. He's your buyer. He'll offer the following prices:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five idols nets you a tidy 6000 Gold. Since they only serve as valuable trade items, sell them promptly to free up inventory space. Remember to return to Oswald after each find!
