Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Throwback

Get ready for a blast from the past as Pikmin Bloom celebrates its 3.5th anniversary next month! Starting May 1st, 2025, Niantic is set to roll out a nostalgic event that will take you back to the golden era of Nintendo.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Pikmin Bloom has always delighted us with quirky decor, from Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles to those sporting Playing Cards. This 3.5th anniversary, the game is turning back the clock even further by introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the '80s and '90s. It's a trip down memory lane that you won't want to miss!

Adding to the vintage vibe, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, honoring Nintendo's pre-video game origins when they were known for their playing card decks. These designs are inspired by Nintendo’s historical playing card collections, adding a touch of nostalgia to your Pikmin adventures.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage in event missions and collect unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. Smashing these will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other exciting items. For the best results in taking down these mushrooms, use your Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May brings an array of beautiful flowers that can bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses. These blooms will flourish when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

Additionally, a nectar update means that fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for these special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
