Pokémon Legends: Mystery Leak Reveals Potential Z-A Region Launch Date

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

Rumors of a Pokémon Legends: Z-A release date surfaced online, pointing to an August 15, 2025 launch. This potential release date originated from a brief listing on Amazon UK in early January 2025, quickly removed and replaced with a placeholder date. The August date aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window for the game.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a highly anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Following the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, which prioritized open-ended gameplay and collecting over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League, details about Z-A have been scarce since its announcement.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The legitimacy of the leaked August 15th date remains unconfirmed. However, the official release date could be revealed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, expected on February 27th – the anniversary of the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green. This prediction is supported by recent findings from a Pokémon GO dataminer.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, which could also debut during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast. Currently slated as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to confirmed backward compatibility. Unlike the mainline Pokémon games' history of paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch content update, "Daybreak."
