HP Omen Max 16 with RTX 5080 GPU Now Available for Preorder

HP has now opened preorders for its highly anticipated 2025 Omen Max 16 gaming laptop. It will be powered by cutting-edge hardware, including Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra 9 HX-series processor and the mobile GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. Orders are expected to begin shipping on March 13. This model is likely to become HP's new flagship gaming device and will be available alongside the standard Omen and the sleeker Omen Transcend models.

The launch edition of the HP Omen Max 16 is an Intel-based system featuring the Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, a processor optimized for high performance compared to the power-efficient Core Ultra 9 185H. Other specifications include a 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz display, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD, all for $2,699.99. This price is approximately $500 less than the similarly equipped Razer Blade 16.

When Will the Laptop Ship?

HP estimates that the Omen Max 16 will begin shipping in early to mid-March, just a few weeks away. Since the RTX 50-series mobile GPUs have not yet been officially released, performance benchmarks are not yet available.

Razer’s 2025 lineup of gaming laptops is now available for preorder. The Razer Blade 16 and Razer Blade 18 can be ordered directly from Razer.com. These models will feature upcoming Intel and Ryzen processors, depending on the display size, along with the highly anticipated RTX 5000-series mobile GPUs, available in three variants: RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090.
