Rauora is the new Rainbow Six Siege operator

The final day of the Six Invitational is always packed with excitement, and this year was no exception. Ubisoft took the stage to unveil the latest addition to Rainbow Six Siege's roster: Rauora, an attack operator hailing from New Zealand. This new operator is set to shake up the game with her unique gadget and weaponry.

Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, which deploys a bulletproof shield specifically designed for doorways. While this shield can withstand regular gunfire, it's vulnerable to explosives. What makes the DOM launcher particularly interesting is its interactive trigger mechanism. Anyone can shoot the trigger to open the shield, but the timing varies significantly: attackers can open it in just one second, while defenders must wait three. This could prove to be a game-changer, especially in tense moments when the defuser is planted.

In addition to her innovative gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2 to the game—a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For those looking for more firepower, Rauora also has the option to carry the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as her primary weapons.

Fans eager to try out Rauora won't have to wait long; she'll be available on the test servers starting next week. However, players will need to be a bit more patient for her arrival in the live version of the game.
