RuneScape Launches CATALYST, an Explosive New Limited-Time Game Mode

RuneScape is introducing something entirely new: CATALYST, the game’s first-ever League mode. It’s live now and runs until November 10th, featuring explosive XP gains and a fresh set of challenges, plus more exciting additions.

A game mode turned up to eleven!

The CATALYST League offers a wild mix of tasks—from absurdly easy to brutally intense. One moment you’re handling a single goblin; the next, you’re fighting through thousands of tormented demons.

Complete every challenge to earn League Points, which unlock Relics—unique upgrades that transform your gameplay. Some are brand-new, like Farming Frenzy or Golden Footed. Others are returning favorites from Old School RuneScape’s League history.

Top players on the CATALYST HiScore chart will claim the Dragon Trophy. Every participant receives a decorated Leagues Trophy just for joining. After the event ends, you can exchange all your earned League Points for exclusive rewards in the main game.

To mark the launch of CATALYST, RuneScape is offering a special membership deal. Available from September 15th to September 21st for $21.99, it lasts the full duration of the event.
