Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Ho-Oh Extravaganza on January 19th

Get ready, trainers! Pokémon GO is kicking off 2025 with a fiery Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th. This event offers a fantastic opportunity to catch this powerful Fire-type Pokémon and even teach it the devastating move, Sacred Fire.

This first Shadow Raid Day of the year builds upon the success of similar events in 2023, offering players a thrilling way to acquire Shadow Pokémon. The event runs from 2 pm to 5 pm local time, giving you a three-hour window to participate in five-star raids with increased shiny rates for Shadow Ho-Oh.

Event Highlights:

• Date: Sunday, January 19th, 2025, 2 pm – 5 pm local time.
• Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh.
• Raid Passes: Spin Gyms to earn up to seven free Raid Passes (or up to fifteen with a special ticket).
• Sacred Fire: Teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
• Shiny Chances: Increased odds of encountering a Shiny Shadow Ho-Oh.

Boost Your Raid Day with a Special Ticket:

For a small fee of $5, a special event ticket will significantly enhance your experience. This ticket increases your Raid Pass limit to 15, providing more chances to catch Ho-Oh. Additionally, the ticket grants 50% bonus XP and double Stardust from raids, lasting until 10 pm local time on January 19th. A $4.99 Ultra Ticket Box will also be available, including the event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass.
