Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of the global journey that began in June 2020.
Two Months Remain
With the December shutdown looming, in-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges are already unavailable, ending after the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Despite stunning visuals, excellent music, and a generous gacha system, the global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe received a mixed reception. Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates such as Solistia and 6-star units, a year behind the Japanese release. This content disparity contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the server closure.
Your Thoughts?
Square Enix has closed several games this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, two Dragon Quest mobile titles, and now Romancing SaGa Re:universe (global).
Based on the classic SaGa series, Romancing SaGa Re:universe offers traditional turn-based RPG gameplay. Players have two months left to enjoy the game, and newcomers are encouraged to give it a try on the Google Play Store.
