Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch

Akatsuki Games has made the shocking announcement of the end-of-service (EOS) for their latest game, *Tribe Nine*. Launched just a few months ago in February on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, it's hard to believe the game is already on its way out. Let's dive into the details and explore what's leading to its premature demise.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

*Tribe Nine* is set to officially shut down on November 27th, 2025. Alongside this disheartening news, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not see the light of day. This comes as a blow, especially since the game had just started to tease what was next. The disappointment is palpable.

As of May 15th, all new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been canceled. Any previously mentioned in-game adjustments or new features are now off the table.

Two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were slated to join the roster, will not be added. Additionally, refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items such as Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These refunds will be processed after the Revenio contract concludes.

Purchasing Enigma Entities or Daily Passes, whether through the app or the web store, is no longer possible. However, players can continue using their existing Enigma Entities until the official shutdown of *Tribe Nine*.

Why Did It Fail, So Soon?

*Tribe Nine* is a free-to-play extreme action RPG that boasts a unique style and rich worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game faced challenges from the start. It had an exceedingly slow release schedule, managing only one story chapter and one event over three months. Moreover, there was little incentive for players to spend money. Building a competitive team required just one pull, and duplicate characters weren't necessary, which, while player-friendly, wasn't sustainable for the developers.

The decision to adopt a gacha model seems to have been a risky move for *Tribe Nine*, and unfortunately, it didn't pan out. However, the game remains playable until November 27th, so if you haven't yet, you can still give it a try on the Google Play Store.
