Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO reaches its thrilling conclusion, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This final stretch of the season is your chance to complete the journey with Kubfu, transforming it into the legendary Urshifu in one of two unique styles.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, the time has come to evolve Kubfu into Urshifu. You have the opportunity to choose between two distinct forms based on your battling prowess. To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types instead.

Additionally, a Special Research will continue the seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, which will come with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendar for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. This event comes with several bonuses to enhance your gameplay.

During this event, you'll only need to travel one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles, and you'll also be able to perform two additional Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the effect, though the damage boost remains consistent.
