Wuthering Waves: The Last Knight Quest Walkthrough

This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. This quest, while less grand than the main storyline, offers a charming glimpse into life outside Ragunna City and rewarding prizes.

Starting the Quest

Complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline (including "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). Many side quests in Rinascita are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is finished. Afterward, locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves a performance about a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a difficult opponent.

Mimic Chest Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, go to the tallest tower, then fly to Carlow's location (quest marker). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to a challenge: identify the real chest among mimics. The first three chests are genuine. In the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for Astrites and other rewards, but prepare for a mimic attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and the Strange Scent

Follow quest markers to visit two locations associated with the Mad Knight legend, interacting with NPCs along the way.

Abby will mention a strange smell. Following the marker uphill leads to a unique Chop Chop fight with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is recommended for parrying and stunning the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "knight" legend was a fabrication. Carlow flees, disillusioned.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day. Find Carlow in a town plaza; he's being mocked by knights. He challenges one to a duel, rejecting the fantasy and embracing true protection. The quest concludes after this challenge, rewarding you with Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
