Rinascita offers numerous intriguing puzzles, including the challenging Morph Paintings. These paintings are integral to two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and straightforward restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are relatively simple yet rewarding, providing valuable resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. This guide explains their mechanics, locations, and solutions.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoring Morph Paintings involves placing the correct paintings on their designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use the Levitator utility to position it correctly. The game usually automatically equips the Levitator, but if not, press Tab or D-Pad Left to select it manually.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Shadows of the Past" questline in Wuthering Waves leads players to the three towers in Thorncrown – Thessaleo Falls. The Resounding Rise tower contains a Morph Painting puzzle. Solve it as follows (using the central painting as a reference):
- Swap the paintings on the front-left and back-right pedestals.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right-side chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Upon completion, a chest appears, allowing quest progression.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Trials of Old" quest involves four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in eastern Thessaleo Fells. The Trial of Wisdom features another Morph Painting puzzle. Arrange the paintings on the pedestals to create a narrative sequence from left to right. The solution is shown in the image above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to observe the painting frame; it illuminates upon successful placement. This shortcut bypasses the puzzle's core mechanic.
