Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next line of official merchandise. A whopping 100 items are up for grabs, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but submissions can be made via the official website.

The options range from the expected (a 20th-anniversary hoodie, a Yakuza-themed pencil case) to the utterly bizarre, drawing heavily on the series' famously outlandish history.

Among the more unusual choices are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other items include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

2025 will mark at least one new release for the franchise's anniversary year, with Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean launching on February 21st. While the studio hasn't yet announced any other anniversary projects, a parallel to their 10th-anniversary release of Yakuza 0 isn't out of the question.

Given RGG Studio's prolific output – nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and two Super Monkey Ball games – releasing two titles in a single year isn't unrealistic.
